It’s A Tahoe Destination Wedding
From backyard picnics to international travel it’s always an honor to capture a couple on one of the happiest days of their lives!! After we photographed Ashley and Aaron’s engagement, we had such a great time, we wanted to see if we could make it work to photograph their wedding in Tahoe… We all made it work and it was so worth it!! This Tahoe destination wedding that was nestled just above Donner Lake? Gorgeous I tell ya!
We really do have the best clients. Case in point: Ashley and Aaron.
The morning of their wedding as we headed to the spot they were getting prepped, we were confronted with quite an interesting change in plans. The mountain that we scouted all week for photos? It was closed, for the entire day! No warning anywhere for the week leading up to the wedding, just zero access the day of. So Meg and I schemed a different spot that was absolutely gorgeous and they just trusted us and were so chill about the ambiguity. They even laughed with us that we were taking them to a ‘rest area’ of all places. I included a photo of the area stop sign, just as proof:-).
Time to fast forward to the reception when Meg jokes about getting up the next morning for sunrise photos at the pass, and Ashley’s response – “Let’s do it, let me tell Aaron (the groom) he’ll totally be game!” What? We then jokingly said, “Wait, are we really game?”…. Well, game on! The next morning we met at the crack of dawn and were able to get some of our favorite images of the two of them!!
And those sunrise images, I shared about!
